Seafood orders, read the way chefs actually write them.

Count sizes, fish that changes by the day, and chefs who text at 11 PM. Built to match “16/20,” “U10s” and “whatever halibut you got” to your catalog, check what’s on hand, and hold every order for a person to approve.

The problem

Why seafood orders are harder than they look

01

The count size is the item

16/20 and 21/25 shrimp are different SKUs at different prices, and “big shrimp” means whatever count that account usually buys. Each line shows the exact item code next to the phrase it came from, so a wrong count is obvious at a glance.

02

Stock moves between the text and the cut

Fresh fish and U/10 scallops run short overnight. Every line is checked against what’s on hand, and a short line gets a proposed sub, or the option to ship what you have, before the pick ticket prints.

03

Chefs write fallbacks, not SKUs

“Halibut if it’s nice, otherwise cod” is an instruction, not a line item. It’s kept on the ticket as a customer fallback, so whoever cuts the fish in the morning makes the call with the customer’s words in front of them.

How it works

One seafood order, from text to posted

  1. 0111:20 PM

    The chat arrives

Priya sends a list and a voice note to the number she always uses. Nothing changes on her end.

  2. 0211:20 PM

    Lines are matched

Five lines are matched to item codes, and the scallop short and the halibut fallback are flagged.

  3. 035:45 AM

    The cutter decides

Someone picks 10/20 to fill the scallops and keeps the halibut, with one click each.

  4. 046:00 AM

    A person approves

The order is approved and handed to your system or exported as a CSV.

FAQ

Questions from seafood distributors.

Can it tell 16/20 shrimp from 21/25?

Yes. Count sizes are matched as distinct items, using your item codes and the names your customers use for them. If a message only says “shrimp,” the line is flagged as ambiguous instead of being guessed.

What happens when fresh fish is short?

The line is flagged short and shows the quantity on hand. It proposes the customer’s own fallback if they wrote one, or the substitute set in your catalog. A person picks before the order is approved.

Does it handle per-pound items and cases on the same order?

Yes. Per-pound items stay per pound and case items stay in cases. If a customer writes pounds for something you sell by the case, the ticket rounds to your pack and says that it did.

Do my restaurants need to change how they order?

No. They keep texting, calling and emailing the same number and address they use today.
